Simple Demonstration of Force

Explain to students that force in one direction creates an equal force in the opposite direction.

Stand on a skateboard or skates and throw different sized objects for teacher to catch. The heavier the object, the better demonstration of the force in opposite direction.

Note:  make sure teacher can catch object being thrown at them.  Possibly bring in a fellow volunteer that you have practiced this experiment with previous to presentation to class.
