Supplies Needed Per Team:
- 3 – 3x5” index cards
- 6” of tape
Procedure:
- Divide students into groups of 2-3.
- Give each group 3 index cards and 6” of tape.
- Each team must work to build and test a structure made out of the given supplies.
- The structure must hold as many books at least 6” off the surface.
Extensions:
Allow students to use more tape and more index cards to hold heavier books with their structure.
