If you sign up to be a team lead you will be contacted in early January with your school assignment. Two team leader training sessions will be scheduled shortly thereafter. Check back for the specific dates and times. If a team would like to learn about a specific experiment or would like additional training, send an email to texeweek@us.ibm.com with your request.

Team Leader Checklist

• Attend the team leader lunch.
• Pick up your school assignment.
• Take home some "goodies".
• Contact the teacher.
• Get preliminary dates for the visit.
• Find out what science and math activities the class is doing.
• Ask how many students will be involved in the program and if there are any special needs such as bi-lingual team members.
• Contact info@centexeweek.org with your team member requirements.
• Set up a meeting with your team.
• Determine which activities you will do.
• Decide on a date to visit the class.
• Confirm your schedule with the teacher.
• Purchase consumable items.
• Practice your activities.
• Meet at the school 15 minutes before your visit is scheduled.
• Introduce yourselves.
• Get the kids involved in the activity.
• Recap your visit and save time for questions.
• Clean up your mess.
• Ask the teacher to evaluate the program.
• Solicit students comments
• Complete the team leader evaluation.
• Send us great photos for publicity.
