Rick McMaster Honored for Volunteer ServiceDownload this article in PDF format
Dr. McMaster, an executive project manager at IBM, has 23 years career experience with the company. Currently, he is responsible for global initiatives in strategic outsourcing contract start-up and transition. Additional experience at IBM includes managing microprocessor design and semiconductor process development, working with customers to develop new semiconductor products, Rick was a Program Advisor to the Multichip Module Conference in 1996, served as a Participating Member of the Technical Working Group of the National Equipment Manufacturers Initiative from 1995 to 1996, was Program Chair for the Multichip Module Conference in 1995 and served on the Board of Directors of the International Electronic Packaging Society from 1992 to 1996. Dr. McMaster has been involved in the local DiscoverE program which informs Rick is also part of a team that is implementing an integrated engineering outreach plan for IBM and part of the company's DiscoverE resource team. He Dr. McMaster earned both a B.A. and an M.S. in physics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he is a distinguished alumnus. He holds a PhD. in physics from the University of Connecticut and membership in several honor societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Sigma Pi Sigma. He is certified by PMI as a project manager. |
