We talked about how our nerves are what help us to feel things and figure out what we are touching. Then we talked about how some parts of our body (like our fingers) have lots of nerves together, while some parts of our bodies (like our noses and elbows) do not have as many nerves. I took a tomato, apple and jalapeno and we did a test to see if we could "trick" their teacher. I had the teacher hold her nose and I rubbed each of the objects on her nose to see if she could figure out what they were. She couldn't. Then I rubbed her elbow and she still couldn't figure out what they were. She was able to identify the three objects when she felt them in her hands. |
